New Delhi. Four members of the banned Islamic fundamentalist organization Popular Front of India PFI have been arrested. Presenting them in the court today, the police will seek remand. This is the first arrest in Delhi after the ban on PFI. A senior Delhi Police official confirmed the arrest, but declined to name the accused. The police had registered a case against the PFI at Delhi’s Shaheenbagh police station under the stringent UAPA Act. On September 28, the central government had announced a 5-year ban on PFI. After this, the people of the organization created a ruckus in Shaheen Bagh area. The police had detained 30 people at that time.
PFI had its office in Shaheen Bagh itself. It has already been sealed by the police. The 4 people of the organization who have been arrested by the Delhi Police have been accused of being involved in illegal activities. They have been arrested under UAPA. In such a situation, getting bail also becomes difficult. It was earlier learned about PFI that it was plotting Ghazwa-e-Hind. Two members of the organization were arrested from Phulwari Sharif in Bihar. A sensational 8-page document was found from them. It was written that in any case India has to be made an Islamic nation by 2047.
Countrywide raids were conducted on PFI on September 22 and September 27. More than 200 people were arrested in these raids. All the big leaders of PFI are included in those arrested. After sealing all the offices of the organization, the central government had also sought its report from the respective states. It was learned about PFI that it had also raised an amount of 120 crores from hawala through Gulf countries. The intention of the organization was to attack all the personalities including PM Narendra Modi. Apart from this, the organization was also trying to incite riots.
