Moradabad. A youth was threatened with death at Thakurdwara in Moradabad for supporting him for allegedly making controversial remarks on the Prophet. The young man complained about this to the police. Police arrested three named accused and sent them to jail. One of the arrested is said to be a minor. According to Sagar Jain, CO of Thakurdwara area, a youth living in Bhaipur village had posted on social media in support of Nupur Sharma. On this he was threatened with death. Among those who threatened are Shahnawaz Alam, Danish and another.
CO Sagar Jain said that the complainant had recorded the phone call. He gave the audio of the threat to the police. The police investigated and found that the youth was said to have been killed. Only after this the police arrested the three accused. Sections 504, 505(2) and 506 of IPC have been imposed on all three. Police say that such people will not be spared at all and strict punishment will be given. Let us inform that Nupur Sharma had given a statement about the Prophet and his wife in a TV debate. Since then the Muslim community has been continuously protesting against him.
Not only opposing Nupur, but people are also being killed for writing posts in support of Nupur. Two people have been killed in Udaipur in Rajasthan and Amravati in Maharashtra for this reason. Two people were put to death behaving like terrorists at both the places. At the same time, after Nupur’s statement, there was fierce violence after Friday prayers in many cities of the country on June 3 and 10. Many people were injured in this violence and there was a lot of stone pelting and arson.
