New Delhi. After 11 years, the 81st session of IRC (Indian Road Congress) will be held in Uttar Pradesh. More than 2500 delegates from India and abroad will participate in the event to be held from October 8 to 11. This convention started in 1934. UP will host it for the fifth time. Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the Indira Gandhi Foundation. Union Minister of State General VK Singh will also be present. Union Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh has been invited in the concluding session. This information was given by Public Works Minister Jitin Prasad. He was talking to reporters at Lok Bhavan on Saturday.
New technology saved 5 million tons of carbon emissions
Minister Jitin Prasad said that 200 delegates of UP will also participate in the program. After the convention, the participants will be made aware of the spiritual and cultural aspects of Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mathura, Vrindavan etc. Uttar Pradesh Expressway has become a state under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Here about 5 million tonnes of carbon emissions have been saved with the new technology. He said that infrastructure and roads have a special contribution in the target set by the Chief Minister to make UP a $1 trillion economy by 2027. Codes will be brought in the convention on technical subjects like FDR, which will be of great benefit to UP.
UP will host for the fifth time
Minister Jitin Prasad told that this is the fifth session of IRC in Uttar Pradesh. The first session was held in Delhi in December 1934. UP has hosted it in the years 1937, 1985, 1995 and 2011. After this, Uttar Pradesh is getting this glory this year.
UP will also have a session in the convention
Cabinet Minister Jitin Prasad said that there will also be a session of UP in this, in which we will present our best works. There will be a total of 19 technical sessions. It will be very effective for topics like new technologies of road construction, infrastructure, good, economical, durable and safe roads. Presentations will be held on many topics by technical experts from the country and abroad, engineers of the center and state, road and bridge related institutions, scientists and consultants. 180 stalls will be set up in the technical exhibition, in which information related to equipment, machinery, materials and new technology will be available from various companies in road construction. Along with this, through One District, One Product (ODOP), the visitors will also be aware of the skills of the art and craftsmen of the state. A cultural evening will also be organized during this time.
Students will get opportunity to participate
Jitin Prasad told that this convention will also be very useful for the students studying engineering. This will go a long way in making a career in the field of road construction and creating self-employment through startups. Also, this convention will be very important for the engineers as well. Let us inform that the officers of UP PWD have been elected as members in 16 committees at the national level.
