What is Patra Chawl scam?
In fact, more than 500 families lived in a tin chawl during the year 2007. After this, Maharashtra’s Housing and Area Development Authority Guru Ashish Construction Company got an agreement to build flats here. According to the agreement reached at that time, 3,000 flats were to be built on this land. It was also an agreement that the 672 flats here would be given to the people living in the chawls here. Apart from this, one of the most important agreement was that the company making the flat here would not have the right to sell this land. But now it is being alleged that in violation of the agreement, the company has sold this land to 9 different contractors for 1,034 crores. Even after this, not a single flat was built here.
