It is being told that after this decision of the Supreme Court, Sidhu will either be arrested, or he will surrender. Punjab Police will have to follow the law in this matter. The Supreme Court has not granted any relief to Sidhu for surrender or stay on arrest. Sidhu will have to go to jail today. Sidhu may be sent to Patiala Jail to serve the sentence.
Experts also say that Navjot Singh Sidhu can ask the Supreme Court for more time to surrender before the police in this matter. However, the Supreme Court will consider it on the same grounds, which Sidhu has mentioned in his petition. Thus, it looks difficult that he may get more time to surrender.
