Let us tell you that Babar was made the captain in 2019, after which he was made the captain of all formats of cricket in 2021. Although his contract was only for 6 months, there were speculations that if Pakistan’s performance in the World Cup was good, his tenure could be extended, but unfortunately it did not happen. The performance of the Pakistani team in the World Cup has been very disappointing, due to which captain Babar Azam had to face criticism. Let us tell you that today Babar Azam met PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf. However, he was offered the post of captain by the PCB for the Benaud-Qadir Trophy to be held in Australia on December 14, but he turned it down.

At the same time, after Babar left the captaincy, the social media is now buzzing with questions as to who will be made the captain of the Pakistani team. However, the discussion regarding any name is not gaining momentum yet. Now in such a situation who is made the captain? Everyone’s eyes will be on this. But before that let us know what Babar Azam has said in his statement before resigning?

Let us tell you that in the post shared on social media, Babar Azam said, ‘During the last four years under my captaincy, I have seen many ups and downs, but I have always tried to preserve the honor of Pakistan in the cricket world. . Before the World Cup, under the captaincy of Babar, the Pakistani team became the number one team in ODI cricket. Babar had given credit for this to all the players. At the same time, Babar said in his statement that today I am leaving the captaincy from all formats of cricket. Surely, this is a very difficult decision, but I think this is the right time. However, as a player, I will continue to represent the Pakistani team on the global stage. At the same time, I will continue to support the new captain. On the other hand, Babar has thanked PCB for making him the captain.
