Once again the corona infection is coming to its peak in the country. With every passing day, the number of infected cases is increasing. In the third wave of Corona, the graph of infected daily is crossing one and a half lakhs for a few days. In such a situation, the central and state government are worried about the treatment of fast growing Omicron and COVID infection patients. However, big information has been given by the medical department regarding the third wave of corona. In this case, doctors say that even though infected cases are increasing rapidly, but it is very mild, there is no need to be afraid of it. This does not mean that you are not careful.
Let us tell you that on the increasing cases of corona, Prof. Dr. Neeraj Nischal of AIIMS Medical Department says that till now no definite and specific treatment for this infection has been revealed nor any medicine is miraculously effective on corona. In such a situation, being careful is the only defense. Patients should be closely monitored, both doses of the vaccine should be administered and elderly people who are not yet vaccinated need to be taken care of. At the same time, the Union Health Ministry said that this time only 5 to 10 percent of the active cases of COVID have required hospitalization. Whereas in the second wave of corona, about 20-30 percent people felt the need to be hospitalized.
On the other hand, about patients with mild symptoms, Dr Nischal said that such patients can be treated at home. For this there is no need to see a doctor, take many medicines. It can also be cured by staying at home with minor treatment. First of all we have to understand that even without medicine you can be right. For this, people should focus on increasing their immunity system.
Let us tell you that recently the Indian Council of Medical Research has approved Molnupiravir as a drug of COVID. However, at the same time, the Indian Council of Medical Research has issued a warning that Molnupiravir can affect rapidly dividing cells in humans. It can damage cells of reproductive organs in men, fetuses in pregnant women, bone in young adults and children. For this reason Dr. Nischal appears to be in favor of restricting the use of this drug. They say that this medicine has more harm than benefits.
