New Delhi. Prime Minister Modi is inviting many foreign guests to India on the occasion of Republic Day. These include the name of the President of a country who is making worldwide recognition for his unique personality. This name is the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday where he was warmly received at the airport. He will be the chief guest at the 74th Republic Day Parade. He is accompanied by a high level delegation including five Ministers and senior officials on the official visit from 24 to 27 January. When he reached New Delhi, he was greeted with traditional folk dance.
Let us tell you that this is the first time that the President of Egypt has been invited as the chief guest on the Republic Day. This visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to India is historic in itself. India and Egypt are celebrating 75 years of establishment of diplomatic relations this year. India has also invited Egypt as a ‘guest country’ during its G20 chairmanship. El Sisi is the most influential leader of his country El Sisi is considered to be the most influential leader in Egypt. El Sisi is said to be the leader who has brought political stability to Egypt in the midst of turmoil. Before becoming the President, Sisi was also holding the post of the Chief of Army Staff of Egypt.
It is worth noting that in July 2013, he removed President Mohammed Morsi from power. During Al Sisi’s visit, the two countries are expected to sign half a dozen agreements in areas including agriculture, cyber security, information technology, among others. Al-Sisi will be visiting India from January 24 to 26, during which he will also witness the Republic Day parade, according to a statement issued by the central government. The statement said that the Egyptian President will hold detailed discussions on a wide range of subjects with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to India. He is also scheduled to hold a program to interact with the business community here.
