New Delhi. IMD’s forecast of rain in the national capital and surrounding areas has not proved correct yet. There was movement of clouds in Delhi-NCR on Saturday, but it did not rain. However, people in and around Delhi had to face hot winds. The maximum temperature remained above 40 degrees Celsius. Due to this, people had to face scorching conditions. On top of this, the shortage of water in Delhi further increased the problems of the people.
The maximum temperature in the national capital on Saturday was 44.6 degrees Celsius, which is 6 degrees more than normal. In this way, people here did not get any relief from the scorching heat. Meteorological Department officials gave this information. They said that the maximum temperature was recorded at 46 degrees at Aya Nagar Meteorological Center and 44 degrees at Palam Meteorological Center. They said that similar weather is expected on Sunday as well. The sky may remain clear on Sunday and the heat wave is expected to continue.

Orange alert for 3 days
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be an orange alert in the national capital for the next three days. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 45 degrees and 32 degrees respectively. This means that the people of Delhi NCR will have to face intense heat for now. Earlier, the IMD had predicted light to moderate rain in Delhi and surrounding areas. However, there was no rain on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The strong hot wind definitely increased the problems of the people.
Scorching heat in Himachal too, red alert in Bihar
Heat wave is prevailing in most places of Himachal Pradesh like Chamba, Lahaul Spiti and northern districts. On Friday, Shimla city recorded the second highest temperature after the year 2014. The temperature in Shimla was 31.0 degree Celsius. Heat wave is expected in Himachal for the next four days. However, upper areas like Chamba, Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur will not experience heat wave. There is a possibility of sporadic rain after June 18 under the influence of Western Disturbance. On the other hand, people of Bihar will not get relief from the heat yet. The maximum temperature of many districts has reached 45 degree Celsius, while in Seemanchal it remains a little cold. Heat wave conditions persist in the southern parts of the state. Heat wave conditions have been imposed in all these districts including Kaimur, Aurangabad and Gaya and a red alert has been issued.
