The Supreme Court said this on the petition of Kumari Anita
There are allegations of large scale rigging at polling booths in Munger Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. RJD candidate Kumari Anita has filed a petition in the Supreme Court in this regard. In the petition, the Supreme Court has been asked to give instructions to ensure free and fair elections. The petition of RJD candidate Kumari Anita was heard in the Supreme Court today. The Supreme Court refused to consider this matter. In fact, it was alleged that booth capturing was done with the connivance of the local administration. The Supreme Court has asked the petitioner to go to the High Court.
The Supreme Court refused to hear Kumari Anita’s petition
In fact, RJD candidate Kumari Anita filed a petition in the Supreme Court alleging that during the Lok Sabha elections, JDU workers in connivance with the polling officers rigged the voting at 45 booths in Munger Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar on a large scale. The petition said that those who opposed this were also beaten up. An FIR was also registered in this regard on May 13. When the District Election Officer was met regarding this matter, he assured action but nothing was done in this matter.
Supreme Court asked to go to High Court
Kumari Anita had filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that the court direct the removal of the District Election Officer from all administrative responsibilities. The court should also direct the Election Commission to ensure free and fair voting at 45 booths in Munger. However, the court has now refused to hear the matter and has asked the petitioner to go to the High Court. Let us tell you that JDU and BJP candidate Lallan Singh is in the electoral fray from Munger. On the other hand, RJD has made Kumari Anita its candidate.
