New Delhi. Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested MLA Amanatullah Khan from Okhla in Delhi on Friday in connection with the Waqf Board case. Now Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and ruling Aam Aadmi Party have defended their arrested MLA. Sisodia and the Aam Aadmi Party have called it a part of BJP’s Operation Lotus. However, there has been no reaction from Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on the arrest of Amanatullah. Manish Sisodia wrote in a tweet on Amanatullah that earlier he arrested Satyendra Jain, but there is no evidence against him in the court. Nothing was found in my house Raid either. Then started a fake investigation against Kailash Gehlot. Now Amanatullah has been arrested. Operation Lotus is on to break every AAP leader.

At the same time, in the statement issued after the arrest of Amanatullah, the Aam Aadmi Party has called it a new conspiracy of BJP. The party has said that Amanatullah is being implicated in a fake case. Describing it as a conspiracy to defame the Aam Aadmi Party, it has been said that Amanatullah was caught by the ACB in a fake and baseless case. Whereas, no evidence has been recovered from his house or office. Let us tell you that there were some recruitments in Delhi Waqf Board. There is an allegation of corruption in these recruitments. ACB is probing the same. Amanatullah is the chairman of Delhi Waqf Board. The ACB had raided several of their hideouts on Friday.
In the ACB raids of Amanatullah and his close associates, it is coming to the fore that many documents have been recovered. Apart from this, 24 lakh rupees and two illegal arms were also found in the raid of a close aide of the MLA. The ACB had earlier written a letter to the office of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, demanding the removal of Amanatullah from the post of Waqf Board chairman. The ACB says that the MLAs are trying to influence the investigation by threatening the witnesses in this case. On the other hand, BJP has tried to surround the Kejriwal government after the arrest of Amanatullah. The party has also demanded action in this matter.
