Paramhans Desai, 38, a native Gujarati, who worked as a policeman in Georgia, USA, died after being shot by the accused. Paramhans had gone to nab an accused in a domestic violence case where he was shot by 22-year-old accused Jordan Jackson. Jordan fled after being shot, while Paramhans was taken to hospital for treatment. Where he died on 8 November after being treated for four days. Even after death, Paramahansa donated his organs and gave new life to 11 other people.
According to a statement given by the Herney County Police Department, Paramhans Desai had donated the organ after his death. Due to which the lives of many other people have been saved. His last rites will be performed at 11 am on Sunday, local time. To help Paramhansa’s family, his sister Divya Desai launched a campaign to raise a fund of 2.5 million dollars. In which till Saturday evening, more than 4700 people had collected a fund of 313900.
The police had also started a search operation against Jordan who fled after shooting Paramhans. He died after being fired from his own gun while trying to shoot the police when the police surrounded him in an apartment. At present, the police had detained two people who kept Jordan hidden.Let us tell you that Paramhansa’s father Dinesh Chandra had settled in America 30 years ago from Bilimora in Gujarat. Paramhans was married to Ankita, with whom he also has two sons. Talking about Paramhans, his sister says that from the age of eight, he had dreamed of becoming a policeman, for which he worked hard.
