Israel Iran War: After the attacks on America by Iran, the world is standing on the brink of the third world war. Israel has also decided to respond to Iran, due to which the tension of all the countries of the world has increased. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has spoken to his counterparts from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt amid fears of a crisis in West Asia following Iran’s attacks on Israel. Apart from Foreign Minister Blinken, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin has also talked to the Defense Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Iran attacked
Iran fired more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel, which were shot down in the air by Israeli, American and allied forces before they could reach their targets. Iran has described these attacks as a response to the attack on its consulate in Syria on April 1.
America is active
America is also active amid the increasing fear of war between Iran and Israel and has spoken to the leaders of President Joe Biden’s G7 countries. After Biden’s talks with other leaders, there has been diplomatic momentum in dealing with this crisis. Biden also spoke separately over the phone to Jordan’s King Abdullah and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the conversation, the US leadership stressed the need to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region and also reiterated America’s unwavering commitment to the defense of Israel.
Permanent solution to Gaza crisis
The G7 leaders also stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to find a lasting solution to the crisis in Gaza that provides lasting peace and security for Israel and Palestine, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said. Meanwhile, Biden has also talked to Congress leaders on the biggest foreign policy crisis of his tenure. (Language)
