In the last few months, there have been incidents of targeting of local civilians and people of other states in the Kashmir Valley. Due to this, the central agencies are alert and concrete preparations are being made for the Amarnath Yatra. A 5 layer security cover is being prepared for the safety of the passengers. RFID tags will be provided to the people going on Amarnath Yatra. Through this, 24×7 tracking of passengers can be done so that their safety can be ensured. Efforts are also being made by the Central Government and the Jammu and Kashmir Administration regarding the accommodation and connectivity of the passengers. At the same time, preparations are being made to take care of rescue and health concerns in case of inclement weather.
Amit Shah held a meeting with Doval and Sinha
Amarnath Yatra is starting from 30th June this year. It can be gauged from the fact that Home Minister Amit Shah himself had a meeting yesterday. He talked about the security arrangements and gave necessary orders. He said that it would be the priority of the government that people could easily and without any delay have a darshan of the holy cave of Amarnath. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Security Advisor Ajit Doval and many senior security officials were also present in this meeting.
Drone will monitor the journey, CRPF will provide security
In this meeting, officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police and people of intelligence agencies also talked about the threat of terrorist attack on the Yatra. These concerns have increased especially after the attacks on minorities in the Valley in the last few days. The reason for this is that the terrorists, who were fed up with the ongoing operation by the security forces, are now targeting the common people, which was not usually the case earlier. CRPF personnel will take care of the security of Amarnath Yatra. Apart from this, the entire route will be monitored through drones so that any kind of danger can be sensed immediately. An insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh will also be given to all the people going on Amarnath Yatra.
