New Delhi. Amitabh Choudhary, former president of Jharkhand State Cricket Association, passed away. It is being told that Chaudhary died due to heart attack. He breathed his last at Ranchi Centavita Hospital. According to the information given by the doctors, he died of heart attack. Chaudhary has played an important role in BCCI. At the same time, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed grief over his death. Soren has expressed condolences to his family by tweeting.
Expressing grief on the death of Amitabh Choudhary, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren wrote in his tweet, “Sad news of the sudden demise of former JPSC Chairman Shri Amitabh Choudhary ji. Former IPS officer Amitabh ji was also instrumental in increasing the game of cricket in the state. May God give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.

He was born on 6 July 1960. The Chief Minister of Jharkhand made him the chairman of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) in October 2020. Last month, his tenure was only till July 5, 2022. With the passage of time, he had also retired from the post.

After doing engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 1985, Amitabh Chaudhary passed the UPSC exam. After which he became the IPS of Bihar cadre. At the same time, after the formation of a separate state, he got the Jharkhand cadre.
In 2014, Chaudhary had stepped into politics.
In 2002, Chaudhary also became a member of BCCI. A few years later, in 2005, Chaudhary became the president of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), defeating the then deputy chief minister of the state, Sudesh Kumar Mahto. After this, from 2005 to 2009, he worked as the manager of Cricket Team India. In the year 2013, he took VRS from the job of IPS and in 2014 he started his new innings in politics. He also contested the Ranchi Lok Sabha elections from Babulal Marandi’s party JVM after not getting a ticket from the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, he was defeated in it.
