New Delhi: ED has arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. CM has been arrested after more than two hours long interrogation. CM has been arrested in Delhi liquor scam. This is the 16th arrest in this case. Let us tell you that the ED team had reached the CM’s official residence at seven in the evening. More than 20 questions were asked by ED during the interrogation which lasted for more than 2 hours. Sources said that Kejriwal did not answer many questions. After this he was arrested. Now after this Arvind Kejriwal will be taken to the ED office.
Let us tell you that this evening the ED team had reached the CM residence. Only after this, apprehensions started being raised that Kejriwal might be arrested. After this, government ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi reached the CM residence. However, both of them were not allowed inside the residence. After this, Kejriwal’s team of lawyers had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. He had demanded speedy hearing in this matter. However, the hearing did not take place and he was arrested.
Security forces deployed outside the residence
As soon as the news of the ED team reaching the CM residence came, a crowd of Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers started gathering outside. The police were already aware of this and had also made preparations for it. There was heavy deployment of police personnel, including Rapid Action Force, outside the residence. Along with this, the house was barricaded from all sides. Let us tell you that this is the 16th arrest made in the Delhi liquor scam. Before this, BRS leader K. Kavita was also arrested by ED. Earlier, AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and former Delhi Chief Minister Manish Sisodia were arrested. Both the leaders are in jail for the last several months.
