In fact, Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail in ED custody in the Delhi Liquor Policy scam case, has sought permission from the court to consult his doctor through video conferencing for 15 minutes every day, talking about irregularities in his blood sugar level. . During this, Kejriwal also demanded permission for his wife Sunita to participate in the video conferencing. On the same petition of Kejriwal, ED in its reply on Thursday said that Kejriwal was deliberately eating potatoes, puris, mangoes and sweets in jail so that his sugar level would increase and he could get bail on medical grounds.
In this case, today the court has asked the ED to respond to the petition of Kejriwal’s lawyer tomorrow i.e. on Saturday. The court has also sought answers from CBI and Tihar Jail Authority. Earlier, Kejriwal’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that Kejriwal should be tested regularly so that his blood sugar can be controlled. Regarding Kejriwal’s diet, he said that ever since Kejriwal went to jail, he has eaten home-cooked food 48 times, in which he has eaten mango only 3 times and Puri as Navratri Prasad only once. Jail authority and ED say that Kejriwal is not following the diet.
