In fact, in 2020, Sachin Pilot, upset with the methods of Ashok Gehlot, had adopted a rebellious attitude. He had gone to Haryana with his fellow MLAs and put pressure on the Congress high command to remove Ashok Gehlot from the post of CM. Regarding Ashok Gehlot, his OSD Lokesh Sharma has now revealed that during that time Gehlot got the phones of Sachin Pilot and his associates tapped and gave it such a color that the BJP leadership is trying to overturn their power in Rajasthan. Lokesh Sharma claims that the allegation leveled against BJP was completely wrong. Gehlot was presenting Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the main conspirator in this case.
When the Congress government was formed in Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot was the state Congress president. He also became Deputy CM in Gehlot government, but he had differences with Ashok Gehlot. There was so much tension between the two that Gehlot even called Sachin Pilot a traitor and Corona. At the same time, in the paper leak case, Sachin Pilot had also staged a one-day dharna against Ashok Gehlot’s government after marching from Ajmer to Jaipur. Now after Lokesh Sharma’s revelations, Ashok Gehlot may find it difficult to answer. Also, this revelation, made just before the second round of voting in the Lok Sabha elections, may also give BJP an opportunity to target Congress and Gehlot.
