Jaipur. The Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Shankar Lal Meena posted at Govindgarh police station in Jaipur Rural taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. ACB Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava said that the SIU post had received a complaint that ASI Meena was demanding bribe in lieu of leaving the seized vehicle and not arresting the son of the complaint.
Following the confirmation of the complaint, the ACB team took the trap action under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Anil Kayal and under the leadership of ASP Sandeep Saraswat. Police Inspector Raghuveer Sharan and his team arrested Meena at Govindgarh police station as soon as they took Rs 5,000.
The ACB has registered a case against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act and started further investigation.
