Both the accused were caught by the UP Police on April 13. After which the Assam Police was taking both the accused today. Meanwhile, both the brothers tried to escape and were killed in the encounter. Please tell that Akbar and Banjara were residents of Falawda in Meerut and Akbar was also rewarded with a reward of Rs 2 lakh. It is being told that he used to smuggle cattle not only in India but also in Bangladesh. Let us tell you that both were in the remand of Assam Police and on Tuesday, Assam Police was taking both of them to appear before the court, during which they were trying to escape from the police custody. After which the encounter started between the police and the accused and both the miscreants were killed in the encounter.

Giving information about the incident, SP Dehat Keshav Kumar said that cow smuggler Akbar Banjara and his brother Salman were killed in the encounter. FIRs are registered against both of them in Meerut also in many cases. After cow slaughter, Akbar used to supply Banjara beef from Assam to other states.
