Jaipur . The Science and Technology Department of the Government of Rajasthan and the IAS are located at Bikaner House, New Delhi. A two-day Astro Night Sky Tourism program was organized under the joint aegis of Association Rajasthan.
Smt. Mugdha Sinha, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Rajasthan said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had announced to promote astro night sky tourism in this time’s budget. A two-day Astro Night Sky Tourism has been organized in The Department of Science and Technology is showing the celestial activities to the people of Delhi through four telescopes in the Bikaner House complex under Astro Night Sky Tourism. He said that a large number of people are excited to come here to see the actual position and movements of the Moon as well as other celestial planets through these telescopes.
Smt. Sinha said that this initiative of the government would increase awareness among the general public about astronomy and would help in making science as citizen centric apart from labs. He said that through Astro Night Sky Tourism, the curiosity about space and astronomy will increase among the general public, especially the students, for which we are going to organize training and workshop programs in every district in the coming times.
He said that astrophotography workshop was organized by the department which got a good response. Secretary Mugdha Sinha informed that a Literary Open Mic program is also being organized in association with IAS Association Rajasthan and French Embassy in Bikaner House premises itself, where eminent poets have recited their poems.
