The name of this beautiful village is Shani Shingnapu. This is known as Shanidham. According to media reports here the bank is not locked at any time and till date there has not been any incident of theft.

There is a village in India where Shani Dev himself protects it. People don’t even get locks installed in the houses here. However, wooden stakes are placed on the door frame to avoid animals. It is believed that about 300 years ago there was a massive flood in this village. Only then a black rock was seen there, which used to bleed when touched.
The same night Shani Dev appeared in the dream of the village headman and told him to build a temple. He put a condition that the temple should not have roof etc. or any such construction so that it can see the village well. That is what was done. Since then this practice started, Shani Dev himself protects this village.

But still most of the people believe that it is not needed because Shani Dev himself protects them. Shani Dev definitely teaches a lesson to whoever has or commits theft etc.
Theft incident in 2010 but it was said that the matter happened outside the village
Shani Shingnapur has remained away from incidents of theft for centuries but in the year 2010, a passenger lodged a complaint of theft of 35,000 luggage and some amount. At the same time, in the year 2011 also there was talk of theft of gold worth Rs 70,000, but according to the villagers, this incident happened outside the village.
