Islamabad: Baloch Liberation Army has attacked Pakistan’s second largest naval air station. According to reports, this attack was carried out by Majeed Brigade of Baloch Liberation Army. According to Balochistan Post, BLA fighters entered the PNS Siddiqui Naval Base located in Turbat and carried out blasts at several places there. The sounds of shelling and explosions were heard near the Navy base till late night. Let us tell you that PNS Siddiqui is the second largest navy base of Pakistan and it is claimed that modern weapons of Pakistan Navy are kept here.
The attack started on Monday night
According to reports, the attack started on Monday night and sounds of firing are still being heard. However, Pakistani agencies claim that they have foiled the attack. A person from the Balochistan Liberation Army was heard talking on the phone that they had caused a lot of damage to the base. The statement of Pakistan government in this matter is awaited. Meanwhile, emergency has been declared in all the hospitals of Turbat and doctors have been called.
BLA carried out the third major attack of the year
Today’s attack in Turbat is the second by the BLA’s Majeed Brigade this week and the third this year. Earlier on January 29, it had targeted the Intelligence Headquarters of Pakistan Army in Gwadar. At the same time, on March 20, 2 Pakistani soldiers and 8 terrorists were killed in the attack on Gwadar Port Authority Complex. On the condition of anonymity, sources in Pakistan’s security agencies said that 4 terrorists have been killed in the attacks that started on Monday night in Turbat. However, even on Tuesday morning, explosions were heard at the Navy Air Base.
