Generally, fruits are considered beneficial for health, but eating some fruits can increase the problem of diabetes.
Senior Ayurvedic physician Dr. Vinay Khullar told that fruits provide essential nutrients to the body, but there are some fruits which diabetic patients should avoid. Such as mango, sapota, banana, pineapple, litchi, watermelon and grapes etc. These fruits contain more sugar and less fiber, hence diabetic patients should avoid eating them. You can consume fruits like apple, orange, guava, papaya, strawberry, raspberry.

Everyone likes mango, but if you are a diabetic patient, then avoid eating mango or eat it in very small quantities. Mango has high amount of sugar, due to which blood sugar increases rapidly. Bananas should also be eaten in small quantities. Its glycemic index is high, which can increase sugar levels. Litchi has the highest amount of sugar. Due to this the blood sugar level increases rapidly.
