Jaipur . ‘Sevanjali’, a program for auction of souvenirs and gifts received by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday. An amount of about Rs 2 crore was collected in this program organized by Bharat Seva Sansthan. This amount will be deposited in ‘Chief Minister’s Relief Fund’ for ‘Nirogi Rajasthan’.
Gehlot along with his wife Mrs. Sunita Gehlot observed souvenirs and gifts in this program. He thanked all the contributors who participated in the auction.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Rajasthan has been following a great tradition of cooperating in times of calamity since years. During the calamities like Kargil war, tsunami, earthquake, floods in Kerala, the people of the state generously cooperated to help the victims. We are all proud of such cooperation. The respect given to me by the people of the state through mementos and gifts will be useful only for the help of the people of the state.
Krajiv Arora, Vice President of Bharat Seva Sansthan and President of Rajasthan Small Industries Development Corporation said that Rajasthanis have always extended their hands for cooperation at the time of disaster. By depositing the amount collected from the auction of souvenirs in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, we will make ‘Niroghi Rajasthan’. It is noteworthy that online auction of souvenirs and gifts was also done.
