Jinalaya will be 55 feet high, 54 feet wide and 72 feet long
More than 600 sculptors from Gujarat will build the biggest Shikhar Jinalaya in Melbourne, Australia. According to Rajesh Sompur, a prominent sculptor of the Sompura community, the Jinalaya will be 55 feet high, 54 feet wide and 72 feet long. The target has been set to complete the construction of this temple in 3 years. This Jinalaya will be constructed in such a way that its age will be 1 thousand or more. Sculptors are working day and night to prepare this Jinalaya. Ram temple in Ayodhya is also being built by sculptors of Sompura community.
According to the information, Jinalaya will use 1500 tonnes of Rajasthan Makar Plor marble, in which around 20 sculptors from Sompura community will visit Melbourne in the next few days. Iron and cement should not be used throughout the building. All the stones will be sent from Gujarat by sea. Jinalaya will be ready in 3 years. Till now about 30% of the work has been completed by the artisans.
Melbourne Jain Association President Nitin Joshi said that the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Jinalaya took place on 4th August. The largest ginalaya of its kind is not in the whole of Australia. The foundation stone laying ceremony of Jinalaya took place in the presence of His Holiness Jagvallabhsurishwarji Maharaja. In addition, 21 idols were also worshipped. This temple is going to be the first and highest summit in the whole of Australia.
