Ayodhya. The first floor of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, UP is about to be completed. The consecration of the idol of Lord Ramlala is to be done here on January 22, 2024. How huge is the Ram temple and how big is its complex, you will get to know clearly from some figures only. Parkota is being built in 8.64 acres in the premises of Ram Mandir. At the same time, 392 pillars have been installed in the first floor of the Ram temple being built. All these pillars are of stone. The outer walls of the temple are of pink sandstone brought from Banshi Paharpur in Rajasthan. The wall inside is covered with workmanship in white marble of Makrana.
According to the latest information, the door of the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple will be covered with gold. There will also be 5 pavilions in this temple. Their names are Gudh Mandap, Rang Mandap, Nritya Mandap, Kirtan Mandap and Prarthana Mandap. A 34 feet wide and 32 feet tall dome is to be installed on these pavilions. The height of the temple is somewhere 69 and the highest is 111 feet. The temple is being built 380 feet long and 250 feet wide. In this, hundreds of devotees will be able to see Ramlala at one go.
All the programs will start a week before the date on which the idol of Ramlala will be consecrated. Specially Vastu Puja and other worship programs will be done. These special pujas can be started from Makar Sankranti i.e. 15 January 2024. After the date is decided by the office of PM Narendra Modi, the dates of special puja will also be decided. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has plans to install idols of Ramlala in all the temples across the country and also to telecast the Pran Pratishtha program live. Overall, the program will be such that it will show many new dimensions.
