The Patanjali group led by yoga guru Baba Ramdev has got a big relief from the Maharashtra government. Another extension has been given to start the plant being built at Mihan in the state. This extension has been given after the visit of Deepak Kapoor, MD, Maharashtra Airport Development Company.
It is worth noting that Patanjali had signed an agreement with the Maharashtra government on 10 September 2016 to set up a food park at Mihan in the state. Through this, it was said to provide about 10 thousand jobs and benefit about 50 thousand local farmers and this plant was to be operated within 18 months, but till now this plant has not been started.
The official of MADC said on 1 March 2022 about starting this plant that it has been more than 3.5 years but till now the plant has not been started. The date of commissioning of the plant has been extended from time to time. Some machines have been installed by the company.
In a press release issued by MACD, it was said that the MD has discussed with the management of the company to start the plant and in the next three-four weeks the company can start a floor mill here.
