Shashikant Ojha/Palamu. The summer season has started. In such a situation, the chances of children and adults getting many diseases increases. To avoid this, it is very important for us to be alert. Although there is some danger for small children in every season, but the summer season is very dangerous. In this season, special care needs to be taken for newborn babies and school children, so let us know in this report what things are important to take care of.
Pediatrician Dr. Gaurav Vishal of Medinirai Medical College and Hospital told Local 18 that the chances of contracting many diseases increase during the summer season. In such a situation, there is a need to pay more attention to children. With increase in heat the temperature also increases. Due to which children can become victims of hyperthermia. This disease generally occurs due to change in weather, fluctuations in temperature and excessive fatigue. To avoid this, we need to take more liquid diet. Apart from this, if we are taking the child out somewhere, then cover his entire body with cotton cloth. School children should cover their heads when going to school and should also cover their heads in the bus. Consume liquid diet and electrolyte rich water like lemon water, lemon salt water, coconut water.
There are 30 to 35 cases of hyperthermia in the summer season.
The doctor told that many cases of hyperthermia occur during the summer season. It is very hot in Palamu district. Due to which around 30 to 35 cases come here every month. To avoid this, breastfeed children who are breastfed every half an hour. Lactating women should consume liquid diet. Consume extra liquid diet for yourself as well as your baby, so that children can be protected from this. Keep the child in a room where the temperature is normal. When the temperature increases, keep wiping the entire body of the child with a wet cloth. This reduces the chances of heat and stroke. Keep in mind that the body temperature should remain below 38 degrees Celsius.
He told that newborn babies do not sweat in the summer season. The reason for this is that thermo regulation of newborn children is not developed. In such a situation, if they feel hot then it is not necessary that they will be able to sweat. In such a situation, keep wiping the children’s body when it is too hot. Failure to do so increases the chances of being hit stock. Due to which the child may become unconscious. The only solution is to immediately take the child to the hospital. Because getting hit is a critical situation for the child. Apart from this, children also get hit with exhaustion during the summer season. In this heat the body gets hot and becomes lethargic. To avoid this, keep feeding ORS to the children and reach the hospital on time.
