Bajaj Electric Vehicle Update: Domestic automaker Bajaj Auto today announced an investment of Rs 300 crore in India to revamp its electric lineup, with the company starting work on a new unit in Akurdi to manufacture electric vehicles, with an annual cost of Rs. Robots will do all the work in this new plant
Bajaj Auto said on the subject that it will deploy “state-of-the-art robotic and self-propelled” manufacturing systems at its upcoming electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Pune. Everything from logistics and material handling, fabrication and painting, assembly and quality assurance will be automated in this plant. The company further said that in addition to the announced investment, the vendors will be involved in the supply of an investment of around 250 million USD (US$33 million). The first vehicle from this unit will be rolled out by June 2022.

The company may also launch Husqvarna electric motorcycle
Bajaj will launch new electric scooters, motorcycles and commercial vehicles in the future. Which are expected to be made in this new plant. After this, the company is also planning to launch the Husqvarna electric motorcycle e-pilen.
