The festival of Bakrid is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Special prayers are being offered in mosques. Meanwhile, a large number of people reached Delhi’s Jama Masjid to offer prayers. Police is alert across the country including UP and Telangana. On the occasion of Eid ul-Azha in Moradabad, the police conducted a flag march and took stock of the law and order situation. Security arrangements were also tightened before Eid ul-Azha in Noida, adjacent to the country’s capital Delhi. Police did patrolling and is also keeping an eye on social media.
Many times during festivals, anti-social elements try to spread chaos through rumours and sometimes they are successful. The police is fully alert to avoid any such situation.
PM Modi congratulated
The country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated on Bakrid. He wrote “Best wishes on Eid ul Ada. May this special occasion strengthen unity and harmony in our society. May everyone be happy and healthy.” Apart from PM Modi, many other leaders have also congratulated on Bakrid.
Action has been taken against the person who made the inflammatory reel
In Muzaffarpur, Uttar Pradesh, the UP Police caught a person who made an inflammatory reel and put him behind bars. This young man had made at least two reels, in which he was talking about bloodshed before Bakrid. Within 6 hours of this reel going viral on social media, the police caught the reel maker and put him behind bars. After this, another video of the reel maker surfaced, in which he is seen apologizing to the policemen and saying that he made the reel on the behest of a friend and will not do it again.
