Bangladesh MP Fazal Hussain Badshah said that India is the largest neighboring country of our country.
MP Fazal Hussain Badshah said that we always want close relations between India and Bangladesh with India from every point of view including economic, cultural. At the national level, we should have good relations with India. He said India is a secular country and we are influenced by the constitution of India which accommodates all religions and all types of people. That has always been our goal.
Let us inform that this statement of Fazal Hussain has come at a time when both the countries have agreed on the water of Feni river which has been hanging for a long time. On Saturday, the high officials of both the countries conducted on-site inspection. Regarding this, DM of South Tripura Saju Waheed had told on Saturday that the high officials of both the countries have resolved to stop the erosion in some parts of the river banks.
Saju Waheed, a member of the Indian delegation and DM of South Tripura, inspected the approved projects on the river bank. He said that the joint visit was successful in every way as work on the plans is expected to start within the next two to three weeks.
He said it was a great success. There was no development in these projects for the last 12 years even though both the countries had given approval for water relations long back. Land identification, field inspection and other construction works were getting delayed due to unforeseen reasons. He expressed hope that in the next two to three weeks work would start at the selected places.
