Bank Holidays March 2022: There will be a 13-day holiday in the banks in the month of March. Before going to the bank branch for any work in March, go out after seeing the list of those holidays. So that your day will not be spoiled. Reserve Bank of India has released the list regarding the holiday. In these days, there will be no work in the bank, but customers will be able to use net banking, UPI. According to the holiday calendar list of RBI, banks will be closed for 13 days in the month of March. The remaining days are weekends. Explain that banks will not remain closed for 13 days in all states or regions. This is the total number of days when banks in different parts of the country will remain closed on account of state government holidays. For example, in Bihar, bank branches will remain closed on Bihar Day, but in other states, banks will work on this day.
List of Bank Holidays Coming in the Month of March 2022
- Mahashivratri – 1st March
- Losar (Northeast) – March 3
- Chapchar Kut (Mizoram) – 4 March
- Holika Dahan – 17 March
- Holi – March 18
- Yaosang (Manipur) – March 19
- Bihar Day – 22 March
Apart from these holidays, banks will remain closed on weekends.
- Sunday – March 6
- Second Saturday – March 12
- Sunday – March 13
- Sunday – March 20
- Fourth Saturday – March 26
- Sunday – March 27
The Reserve Bank of India keeps its holidays under three brackets. Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act, Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement and closure of accounts of banks. Please note that bank holidays are different in different states. Not all banking companies follow this. Bank holidays also depend on the notification of festivals celebrated in the states or specific occasions in those territories.
