Mumbai The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a tough step after Team India’s poor performance in the T20 World Cup held in Australia. The BCCI on Friday night sacked all the national selectors including chief selector Chetan Sharma. BCCI has now again sought applications for national selectors. Team India reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup held in Australia after a lot of ups and downs. She was defeated even by Pakistan. In the semi-finals, Team India was defeated by England by 10 wickets. Since then questions were being raised that many players were kept in the team even after being out of form. They failed and kept on being fed. After all these criticisms, the BCCI has taken the step of sacking the national selectors. It is being told that Captain Rohit Sharma can also be given a big blow.

The BCCI has given information on its Twitter handle to keep the new national selectors. There are various criteria to be fulfilled for the selectors of the senior team. Being a member of any cricket committee for 5 years will not be valid for selectors. 5 posts of selectors have been declared vacant. Must have played at least 7 Test matches or 10 ODIs or 30 matches of First Class cricket for this post. Also retired from cricket 5 years back. BCCI has invited applications for the post of selectors by 6 pm on November 28.
Meanwhile, there is also a floating news that a big decision can also be taken regarding Rohit Sharma, who is captaining Team India in the T20 World Cup. Rohit is being accused that he neither performed like a captain himself nor was he successful in motivating the team. In such a situation, a sword is seen hanging over his captaincy as well. It is being told that in the coming days, BCCI is going to take important decisions regarding Rohit and some members of the team.
