Nephrologist Dr. Narayan Prasad said that a normal person should drink 8 to 12 glasses of water a day, but drinking too much water causes hyper filtration in the kidneys and this repeated hyper filtration causes damage to the kidneys. Not only this, the amount of salt in the blood also starts decreasing by drinking more water, due to which people may suffer from vomiting, dizziness and kidney related problems.

Dr. Narayan Prasad told that those who sweat less or those who work in cold environment should drink 8 to 12 glasses a day, whereas those who are farmers or those who run around all day and work in the field should drink 8 to 12 glasses of water. The quantity should be taken more than 12 glasses in a day.
These are the dangers of drinking less water
According to Dr. Narayan Prasad, the contaminants that are formed in the body every day due to drinking less water, including urea, creatinine, nitrogen based elements have to be removed through urine. The stones that form in the kidney are formed due to accumulation of crystals. This crystal has to come out through water. In such a situation, by taking less water, these crystals are not able to come out which leads to stones. Stone patients should drink more water.
