New Delhi. In the Super-8 of T20 World Cup 2024, India has to play its third and last match against Australia on 24 June. This match is being considered the most dangerous from India’s point of view in the Super-8. This is because the Kangaroo team has given a setback to Rohit Sharma and company on many occasions. The latest T20 rankings have been released by the ICC in the midst of the World Cup. Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has secured his place at the first position in the rankings. Given the speed at which Stoinis is scoring runs, it is certain to increase the concerns of the Indian team management.
Marcus Stoinis has become the number-1 T20 all-rounder by defeating Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi. His bat is wreaking havoc in the T20 World Cup. If we look at the statistics after the league stage, he is currently at the third position in the list of highest run scorers. In the four matches played so far, he got a chance to bat only three times. During this, he scored runs at a strike rate of more than 190 and an average of 78. He has scored 156 runs with the help of 13 fours and 10 sixes. He is at the fourth position in terms of hitting the most sixes and third in terms of hitting fours.

Rohit-Dravid will have to be careful
The Indian team management will not make the mistake of taking Marcus Stoinis lightly. Apart from batting at number-5 in the Australian team, he also provides a lot of options to the captain as an all-rounder as a medium-pacer. Team India will have to come up with a special strategy against Stoinis. He was seen playing for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL this season. During this time he also scored a century. Team India, however, is well aware of his playing style.
Hardik also benefited
Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has also benefited in the latest ICC T20 rankings. Hardik has gained one place to reach the seventh position in the all-rounders rankings. He has taken seven wickets in the three matches played so far in the T20 World Cup and has pulled Team India out of trouble on many occasions.
