New Delhi. Samajwadi Party veteran leader Azam Khan is getting setbacks one after the other. Bad news is continuously coming for Azam Khan after being punished by the court. First Azam Khan’s legislature went away. Then he was banned from contesting elections. After this, now Azam Khan will not be able to vote in Rampur by-election. The Election Commission prohibited him from exercising his franchise. At the same time, Azam Khan is trying his best these days to save his stronghold. But meanwhile, before the Rampur by-election, Azam Khan has suffered a major setback. SP leader Azam Khan’s close friend has become saffron. Actually Azam Khan’s media in-charge Fasahat Ali Khan alias Sanu has joined the saffron party. On Monday, Fasahat Ali joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of UP BJP President Bhupendra Chowdhary. With this, the BJP has made a big dent in Azam Khan’s stronghold.
Let us inform that this is happening for the first time in four and a half decades when Azam Khan or any member of his family is not going to contest from this seat from Rampur seat. This time Samajwadi Party has given ticket to Asim Raza, who is considered close to Azam Khan, from Rampur seat. On the other hand, BJP has fielded Akash Saxena from Azam Khan’s bastion in the election fray from this seat.
