Bhopal Health News : Bhopal (Navdunia representative). In order to bring down the maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate in the state, women at high risk of childbirth have to be identified, but there is a great negligence in this. The situation is that in many places, the hemoglobin test of women going to the hospital for antenatal check-up is not being done. BP and weight are also not being checked. Even if it is happening at some places, it is not being recorded in the module of ANC (Antenatal Testing) in the portal of RCH (Reproductive Child Health). Due to this, even at the district and state level, the risk pregnant is not being identified. This information has come to the fore in a review conducted by the officials of the National Health Mission here on Tuesday. NHM’s Joint Director Dr. Archana Mishra has asked to remove these shortcomings.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a program was organized in the capital to honor the health workers doing excellent work in the entire state. In this, Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary, Additional Chief Secretary Mohd. Suleman, Mission Director of NHM Priyanka Das and Director Dr. Pankaj Shukla attended. After being honored, maternal health was reviewed, in which these shortcomings have come to the fore.

Asha worker Sukhwanti Bachi of Rajola Mal of Chhindwara district was also honored during this period. He told that a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, but she did not have money to get her examined. Nor was there rent to go home. In such a situation, Sukhwanti gave two thousand rupees to the pregnant by selling some silver ornaments she was wearing during that time.
