Summary
A special drive was launched by the Customs of Mumbai to destroy over 600 kg of narcotic substances and over one crore foreign cigarettes.

The narcotics seized in various anti-trafficking operations were destroyed as per the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. In a statement issued by Customs, it has been said that various concerned agencies have completed the investigation as well as legal formalities in all these cases. The destruction of these items was done under the supervision of a high level drug disposal committee and in the presence of representatives of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and Narcotics Control Bureau.
