New Delhi. In a significant move, for the first time, a leader from the Gujjar community of Jammu and Kashmir has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha. The name of the leader of the Gujjar community to be nominated is Ghulam Ali Khatana. He is an engineer by profession and has been associated with BJP for 14 years. Ghulam Ali Khatana has served in the IT Cell of BJP for a long time. He lives in Bathindi area of Jammu. At present, he is also the spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir BJP. There is currently no representative in the Rajya Sabha from Jammu and Kashmir. The reason for this is that there is no assembly there yet. It is believed that by sending Khatana to Rajya Sabha, the Modi government has given a big political message. Let us tell that the people of Gujjar community in Jammu and Kashmir usually lead the life of nomads and they rear sheep and goats.

This is a big decision after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution. Earlier, no leader of the Gujjar community has been seen in the Rajya Sabha. The Modi government had abrogated Article 370 from the Parliament in the year 2019. After which Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were made two separate union territories. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has tweeted congratulating Ghulam Ali on being nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Many other BJP leaders have also described the nomination of Ghulam Ali as a big and historic step for the Gujjar community.
Let us tell you that the delimitation work has been done in Jammu and Kashmir. Now the voter list is being prepared. After which the assembly elections will be held here. On behalf of the central government, Home Minister Amit Shah has said that Jammu and Kashmir will be given statehood once again at the right time. However, the central government wants to keep Ladakh under itself. The reason for this is also China.
