Ola Electric recently launched its first electric scooters Ola S1 and S1 Pro in the domestic market. The company had also started booking these scooters a long time ago, which can be booked through the official website for just Rs 499. After booking, the biggest question was regarding the delivery of these scooters, which has now been revealed.
After almost four months of waiting, the Ola electric scooter S1 and S1 Pro are finally going to hit the Indian roads this month. Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO and Co-Founder, Ola Electric has confirmed the date when the startup will start delivering the much-awaited electric two-wheelers to the customers.
Sharing the update on social media platform Twitter late Saturday night, Bhavish Aggarwal said, “The deliveries of Ola electric scooters will be as per schedule. He wrote, ‘The scooters are getting ready, production has picked up and their deliveries will start from next 15th December.
Let us tell you that Ola Electric had earlier announced that the deliveries of the first batch would be started between October 25 and November 25. However, the company had reportedly sent a mail to customers who had booked the electric scooters, stating that the deliveries of the scooters were getting delayed due to unavoidable reasons.
What’s special about Ola Electric Scooter:
The company has given a battery pack of 3.9 kWh capacity in this scooter and its electric motor generates peak power of 8.5 kW. Its battery will be fully charged in about 6 hours with a portable charger of 750W capacity. Apart from this, with the company’s supercharger, this battery can be charged up to 50% in just 18 minutes. Ola claims that this electric scooter gives a driving range of 180 to 190 kms once fully charged. Its entry-level S1 variant costs Rs 99,999 and the S1 Pro variant costs Rs 1,29,999.
