Patients reaching less in hospitals

Now there are only 15 COVID patients in this ward. At present, 750 beds have been made available for infected patients in the hospital. Hospital management says that it is usually only serious patients who come to the hospital. But at present, there is a decrease in the cases. We have only seven to eight patients in the ICU. As far as reducing the number of COVID beds is concerned, then this decision has to be taken by the government.
Fortis Healthcare, one of the country’s largest hospital networks, has only about seven per cent of the beds with COVID patients. Of the more than 4,000 beds of the Fortis network, only 300 beds have COVID patients. People associated with the management of Fortis Healthcare say that the number of patients admitted to the hospital during the third wave was low and the number of COVID patients in the hospital network is not so high. At present, there is a decrease in the number of COVID infected patients in the hospital. According to the management of the 400-bed PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, at present there are only five patients in their 91-bed COVID ward.
The Maharashtra government has not allowed hospitals in Mumbai to reduce the number of beds in their Covid wards. The government had started preparations from August last year due to the fear of a third wave. Since August, hospitals in Mumbai were instructed to maintain the number of COVID-19 ward beds at the same level. However, now private hospitals are waiting when the government will take a decision on reducing or eliminating the number of beds earmarked for COVID patients.
Will the next wave not come now?
Corona cases are decreasing in the country. This time the wave of Corona was also lighter than both the previous waves. Health experts of the country say that nothing can be said clearly about Corona right now. Experts say that, at present, the possibility of a new wave is low, but it cannot be said that there will be no wave of corona ever. Because this virus is constantly changing itself. In such a situation, the virus can mutate in any area of the world and give rise to a new variant. Therefore, the pattern of Corona will have to be monitored for a few months now. Only then can it be said whether the pandemic will become endemic or not.
