Big update in Kolkata Medical College rape murder case, CBI will question 4 trainee doctors

New Delhi. CBI will question 4 PG students (trainee doctors) of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. These four doctors were with the victim on the day when the incident happened. CBI wants to find out what was the sequence of events that night and what kind of activities took place. For this, CBI has so far recorded the statements of about 15 people and is planning to recreate the incident by combining CCTV footage on the basis of their statements.

Meanwhile, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, Dr. Sandip Ghosh has filed a petition in the Kolkata High Court seeking protection. He has claimed that he feels threatened in the case and hence needs police protection. Dr. Sandip Ghosh was the principal of the college when the incident took place, and the CBI is preparing to question him as well. The case has also taken a political turn, where BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi has accused the Mamata Banerjee government of complicity in the violence. He also targeted Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, asking why Priyanka, who gave the slogan “Larki hun, lad sakti hun”, is silent on the issue.

Meanwhile, West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has written a letter to the Union Home Secretary and the CBI Director demanding the deployment of CAPF jawans in RG Kar Medical College, so that the doctors and evidence in the hospital can be protected from harm. There is outrage among doctors and medical students across the country in protest against the incident. Doctors have protested in other places including Mumbai and Punjab. There is outrage in the whole country against this incident that happened with the female doctor in Kolkata.
