Patna The law and order situation in Bihar is being proved by the incidents that happened in Begusarai and elsewhere. The state police has also failed to trace a former minister of Nitish Kumar’s government. Karthik Kumar, who was a minister in the Nitish government, is absconding since September 1 after his anticipatory bail application was rejected. It has been 15 days since the minister absconded, but his whereabouts are yet to be traced. Kartik is considered to be Nitish’s special. Earlier Nitish had made him Law Minister. When there was an uproar that the court had issued a warrant against Karthik, then his department was changed to sugarcane industry. Later, Karthik also resigned from this department.
Karthik is facing a case of kidnapping of builder Raju Singh in the year 2014. In this case, Karthik tried to get anticipatory bail from the court, but failed. He has been missing since then. The police raided several places by forming a team to arrest Karthik, but failed to trace the former Bihar minister. Today, this case of Karthik is being heard in the court of Patna and the hands of the police are swollen as to what answer they will give in the court. Recently, Raju Singh’s wife Divya Singh had alleged that Karthik’s henchmen are continuously pressurizing him to compromise by threatening. Raju Singh himself told a TV channel that Karthik was involved in kidnapping him.
Raju Singh works as a builder. He was kidnapped in the year 2014. There is also a case against Karthik in this case. After breaking ties with BJP, Nitish Kumar formed the government with RJD. Then Karthik was given the post of Law Minister. Only after this it was revealed that on the day Karthik was taking oath, there was an arrest warrant against him. He was to surrender in the court on the same day. In the case, Nitish Kumar had said on the question of the media that he was not aware of the case and warrant on Karthik. After this, after removing Karthik from the post of Law Minister, he gave another department. The very next day, Karthik resigned from the post of minister.
