The CBI team has achieved great success in the violence in Birbhum, West Bengal. It has been learned that bombs have been recovered near the house of the accused in the murder of TMC leader Bhadu Sheikh. It is being told that these bombs were buried inside the soil. The CBI team had raided Bagtui village on information.
According to the police, based on a tip-off, a team of CBI and Bomb Disposal Squad raided the spot. During the search, bombs buried in the soil were found near the house of Palash Sheikh, accused of killing Bhadu Sheikh, the deputy head of the local Borosal gram panchayat. Palash’s house is at the entrance of the village and after the recent Birbhum incident several top officials including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have visited the village.
At least a dozen houses were torched in Rampurhat village of Bengal’s Birbhum district recently, in which at least eight people, including two children, were killed. The incident happened soon after the alleged murder of TMC panchayat leader Bhadu Pradhan, who was attacked with country-made bombs a day earlier by unidentified assailants.
Meanwhile, the CBI team probing the case will now conduct forensic psychological examination of the nine accused as their statements do not match. For this, the CBI has applied in the court on Sunday.
