This Nilachakra creates obstruction in the planes flying over the temple.
The flag of the temple always flutters in the opposite direction of the wind. The reason for this remains a mystery to scientists even today. The temple has four entrances. In all these the main gate is called Singh Dwaram. It is said that the sound of waves coming from the sea is heard outside the temple, but the sound stops as soon as you step inside the temple.
The technique of making offerings in the temple is also quite unique. Seven pots are placed one on top of the other to make offerings. In which the prasad of the utensil placed on the top is made the fastest. After which the prasad of all the utensils is made respectively. Another surprising thing in this is that burnt wood is used to make prasad.
