BJP has started preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Maharashtra. The party announced the in-charge and co-in-charge for Maharashtra on Monday. BJP has appointed Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav as in-charge and Ashwini Vaishnav as co-in-charge. While Dharmendra Pradhan and Biplab Kumar Dev have been made in-charge for Haryana elections.
There are 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. Here, dividing seats among BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP and selecting candidates is a big challenge, in such a situation the role of in-charge and co-in-charge becomes important.
How many seats did BJP get in the Lok Sabha elections?
Let us tell you that in the recently concluded Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections, BJP has got 9 seats out of 48. Its allies Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena has got seven seats and Ajit Pawar’s NCP has got one seat. The alliance of the three parties is called Mahayuti. The opposition alliance India got 30 seats here. India alliance includes Congress, Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP) and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT).
Shivraj Singh Chouhan Jharkhand election in-charge
The party has appointed Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as election in-charge for Jharkhand. Whereas G Kishan Reddy has been appointed as BJP election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir.
