Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has declared a direct fight between Congress and TRS in the assembly elections to be held in Telangana next year. Rahul Gandhi said that in the assembly elections to be held next year, the Congress will face a direct fight with the state’s ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). Rahul Gandhi said this while addressing a rally in Warangal. Rahul Gandhi said that Congress will slam TRS in the upcoming assembly elections. Without naming Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao, Rahul Gandhi said that we will never forgive those who stole lakhs and crores of rupees from the poor and youth.
Political tourists will come and go, Garu will stay here
During this, Rahul Gandhi also said that his party will give ticket only on the basis of ability. He said that if you do not stand with the poor farmers then you will not even get a ticket. Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi said – Widows of farmers are crying in the state. Thousands of farmers have committed suicide. After all, who is responsible for this? On the other hand, taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, TRS working president and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son KT Rama Rao said that political tourists will come and go, only KCR Garu will stay in Telangana. Telangana has joined hands with election strategist Prashant Kishor for next year’s assembly elections. Recently Prashant Kishor had refused to join the Congress.
Warangal seat has been a stronghold of Congress
It is noteworthy that Warangal is the same seat from where Congress has won the election eight times but last time TRS had won from this seat with a record number of votes. The Warangal seat, considered a strong Congress seat, was won by the TRS by a record 4.60 lakh votes in the last election. Declaring that the next election will be between TRS and Congress in the election meeting in Warnal, Rahul has hit two targets with one arrow. On one hand, Rahul has tried to prove that there is no BJP anywhere in the state, while on the other hand, he has also excluded Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM from the election season.
