Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Wednesday that ‘BJP is deliberately targeting Rajasthan’. He said this after reaching Udaipur to oversee the arrangements for the Congress ‘Chintan Shivir’ to be held in Lake City from May 13-15.
Speaking to the media here, Ashok Gehlot said, “BJP is deliberately targeting Rajasthan and hence the violence took place in Jodhpur. They are getting orders from their higher officials to target Rajasthan.”
He said, “We fought COVID smartly, our insurance policy and education model has set a role model in the country. We are giving pension to one crore people and have asked PM to provide social security to all.” Concerned over the success of this model, the BJP is eyeing Rajasthan.”
Terming the violence as a “small incident”, he said, “Things are under control now.”
Rajasthan in-charge Ajay Maken and MP K.C. Venugopal will also reach Udaipur on Wednesday to decide the venue for hosting the camp. State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara is already in the city.
The Congress is conducting a three-day brainstorming session to focus on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
