Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashpal Suvarna has called the girl students going to the Karnataka High Court against the hijab ban as members of a ‘terror organisation’. Along with this, he has alleged that the girl students have received training from the terrorist organization. During this, Suvarna has also demanded action against the girl students from the agencies. On Tuesday, the High Court had upheld the state government’s order regarding uniforms in schools and colleges. Also the petitions filed against the hijab ban were dismissed.
Speaking to news agency ANI, BJP OBC Morcha general secretary Suvarna said, “The six students who had gone to the court saying that they would respect the court’s decision, have given such statements, which has brought disrepute to our judiciary.” They have proved themselves as I said earlier that they are not 6 girl students, they are members of terrorist organization. The way she gave statements against the three judges proves that she is associated with the terrorist organization. Suvarna is also the vice-chairman of the Udupi College Development Committee (CDC).
He alleged that the terrorist organization had come here from Hyderabad and has trained them as to what statements should be made in front of the media. Suvarna said, “We demand the concerned agencies to take strict action against them. Those who make such statements should not be allowed to live or work here. They should go to the country where they can practice their religion. They should not harass other poor students.
The BJP leader said the aim of the girls was to ruin the education policy and harass other students.
Suvarna asked, ‘When these girls are telling judges that the verdict is politically motivated and against the law, what do we expect from them?’ “He has only shown that he is anti-national,” the BJP leader said. “We are confident that the Supreme Court will deliver the verdict, which will be beneficial for the entire country,” he said.
According to the agency, he said, “We tried our best to resolve the issues, but that was not their intention.” He didn’t want to study, didn’t want to sit for the exam. Their motive was to ruin the education policy and harass other students. Later he applied in the High Court fighting only for his rights. His application has been rejected by the High Court, which means that there is no provision in our constitution to wear hijab in class, so he should respect the order of the High Court and if he wants, he should come to the class.
Suvarna mentioned that when people asked Siddaramaiah to wear saffron, he threw away the cloth. But in Urus he had no problem wearing the cap, which is a symbol of Islam. He reiterated that his old statement was that those who respect the law will be allowed to study in college here and the rest are not eligible to be citizens of this country.
